Musician portraits and group photos, Berlin

In June 2026 I spent a week in Berlin photographing artists. This set is a violinist and her string quartet: an editorial portrait of the violinist in an old stairwell, and portraits and group photos of the quartet.

I shot the quartet against a plain white wall and a wooden floor, so the instruments and the colours of their clothes carry the pictures. The set has the formal frames a press page needs, and a few where the four of them are simply laughing.
